Aldien was once the great language of the Vasil, however other races have been known to speak it on occasion. However, since The Fall most of it has been forgotten. There are still Vasil who speak fluent Aldien. Vasils who speak fluent Aldien are most often held in high authority or are regarded as very wise and powerful.
More often then not Aldien writings can be found in ancient tombs, dungeons, and caves around Venera. In it's prime, Aldien was a language regularly used by all Vasils, and known by few mages, who tended to use speak in Aldien while preforming some kind of spell or other enchantment.
Not much is known about the language currently. There is no recorded Aldien alphabet or anything of the sort - which makes those who speak it, that much more important.
